The "Start Of Something Good" for Romeo!

Image
The greatest feast that Lord Capulet is throwing in his own house was where Romeo met the most beautiful woman that he has ever seen. Knowing what happens to Romeo and Juliet at the end, they both have a wonderful first encounter with each other at the end of Act 1.5. Romeo's plan was not to look for someone else more beautiful than Rosaline. To the good convincing of his cousin Benvolio his advice to forgetting Rosaline, was to go to the party and see other women.  Once he sees Juliet, and she sees Romeo, they flirt with each other. He calls her "dear saint" meaning she is sweet and innocent. Juliet calls him a "good pilgrim". He "had never seen true beauty till this night." Juliet was the most beautiful thing that he had ever seen.(1.5-60).      Start Of Something Good  This song, "Start of Something Good" by Daughtry is a song that Romeo can relate to after leaving the Capulet's party. In the first 0:36 of the song the lyric " ...

Overalll feelings about this somewhat chaotic debate!

Saint Lucy's Home For Girls Raised by Wolves  was intresting to read about. The girls come for the woods and to a place to where they have to get rid or forget about their old habits and act more human.  The girls got human names, Jennette, Claudette, and Maribella. Cludette narrates the story and describing her perspective on things. Maribella is the youngets and Jennette is the oldest. Getting ready for the debate was quite easy because I had some team mates that I could count on. In my mind picking Claudette  for being the best was that she achived her goal on becoming a human. She did it on a selfish way because she felt that she couldn't count on her own sisters for her and she had to be on her own. The debate itself was quite chaotic because I felt that since a lot of people were talking at the same time and interrupting , I felt that I could not get the chance to let out my ideas. But overall my team did it's best to make us will. but ev...

Assimilation: Everyone is guilty of doing it

Image
Well to start off, you might be wondering what is assimilation and that is trying to get rid of cultures or identify to fit in or feel accepted. I don't think that assimilation is such a good thing, just the word itself sounds negative. I have assimilated before because when people ask me "where are your parents from," I used to say I don't know, and it was because I was embarrassed to say my parents were from El Salvador. It wasn't because of was ashamed of the country, more because it's not such a well-known country, it's mostly small. But it's a good thing it's small because now I have realized that I can talk more about it in order for more people to know about it. I don't think that the students or adults that come to a new place should just forget or try to get rid of their cultures. Everyone has something unique about them, culture diffusion is much needed in order for the world to be different and not basic. That's why...

The basic food that NEVER get's old!

Some food to try when you come to NYC!     - (Not a food, but a go-to beverage) Coffee     - Bacon, egg & cheese     - Cheesecake     - Street meat     - Pizza     - Burgers     - Spicy chicken wings         All these food have a mouth-watering taste. Other places in the world might sell it but they do not taste the same as they would in NYC. Coffee is not a food, but a beverage that is beverage you need to get. The coffee here in New York especially in your local deli it's just amazing. Once you buy it once it's like it becomes a part of your routine. One of the best place to go and have a coffee is Culture Expresso. Even thought the lines for coffee is  extremely long, but it is worth the wait.    Another one that is very special to all is the bacon egg & cheese. Even though they're a lot of different menus in the world or how they are prepar...
